On April 2nd, 2017 in the Battle of the Bluegrass, the University of Louisville Men's Lacrosse team defeated the University of Kentucky by the score of 8-5 to claim the 2017 Battle of the Bluegrass College Club Men's Lacrosse Championship.
The Cardinals scored to take the lead and never looked back!
Coming in 3rd place, the Kentucky Wildcats did not make the championship game. However, 2nd place Xavier had already been destroyed by the Cardinals 15-4 earlier in the day, so they forfeited their 2nd place position to the Kentucky Wildcats.
