This is the WHAS 840AM antenna station in Eastwood, Kentucky just outside of Louisville, Kentucky. The building itself is abandoned but is still fully functioning in regards to receiving and transmitting signals. No employees work at this location unless there is a maintenance issue that needs to be addressed. You have to wonder how many years it's been since employees entered the gates, drove down the gravel road and parked in the rear of the building, going to work for WHAS radio, manually transmitting signals. The abandoned front steps, decaying front door, and steps being taken over by trees and vines speaks volume to the decaying outside of the structure, as it sits all alone and forgotten.
