The Ohio University Bobcats traveled to Louisville, Kentucky on September 23rd, 2017 to face the University of Louisville Cardinals.
UofL jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead...
...however, the Bobcats would get on the board on a penalty kick to make the score 14-3.
17 seconds later, the Bobcats added 7 more on an amazing play that simply shocked the Cardinals.
Trailing 14-10 at the half, the Bobcats regrouped...
...however, the Cardinals again scored 14 unanswered points to gain a 28-10 lead.
During that 14 point run for the Cardinals, the Bobcats were denied 7 times inside the 22. Even coming up just inches short once.
With only 9:00 to play, Ohio came alive! Not only was the defense taking a stand, but the Bobcats were able to score to bring the score to a 28-15 game.
With only 2:00 to play, the Bobcats would bring the game to a one-score game at 28-22.
The Bobcats would come within yards of having the opportunity to win the game but would fall victim to the Cardinals defense.
It was a game that started out being dominated by the Cardinals; had a strong comeback by the Bobcats; was once again dominated by the Cardinals, and had the Bobcats comeback fall just short in the end.
