We wish we had some type of story or history lesson to share with you like normal, but this time we simply came across an abandoned bridge off US-68 in Northern Kentucky, just South of Maysville.
It appears that the small bridge was closed due to its weakening concrete and asphalt road. However, that is just merely an observation on our part. We also noticed that at the Southern side of the bridge, it appears that the first two beams at the very top have been hit. Possibly by a tuck that thought it could make the clearance, but then quickly discovered it could not.
We may never know. What we do know is that it's closed, abandoned, and rusting through more and more with each passing year.
