Boyce College 1 - Spalding University 5

On Monday, September 21st, 2015 the Boyce College Bulldogs took on the Spalding University Golden Eagles (reserves) at Champions Park in Louisville, Kentucky.  #10 Jorge Saucedo was present in uniform but was clearly in no condition to take the field.  He was added to the ever growing list of injured Bulldogs.  Also, #5 Timothy Babatunde announced his departure from the team, leaving the number of subs at a season low for Boyce College.

The Bulldogs started the game very poorly, allowing the Golden Eagles full control, but were able to start moving the ball down the field offensively come the 8th minute.  The Bulldogs were able to recover so nicely that they were able to get multiple shots on goal.  The crowd was even fooled from their angle, thinking the ball went in, when it went just inches over and into the netting behind (pictured below).

The Golden Eagles scored first and took a 1-0 lead into the half.  However, the lack of focus by the Bulldogs defense and by goalkeeper #0 Chad Hunter would quickly have the score at 4-0 in favor of the Golden Eagles.  It wasn't until late in the second half that Bulldog #6 JaeJun Kim was able to get the ball past the Golden Eagles goalkeeper and avoid the shutout.

The Bulldogs now hit the road for their next six games (four of which are conference games, two of those being vs Crown College and Johnson University, who Boyce College has already beat at home this season.) and will not return home to Champions Park until Friday, October 23rd vs Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, a team who they also play on Tuesday, September 29th on the road.  The Bulldogs are 0-2 on the road, and look to put an end to that streak as they travel to Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, and Elizabethtown, Kentucky over the course of the next four weeks.  The Bulldogs are now 3-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
