The East End Warriors Junior team took the field today with hopes of bouncing back from an ugly 0-20 home loss to the J-Town Bulldogs last weekend. Today's game was thought by many to be a blowout by the Louisville Jaguars but turned out to be a huge defensive battle. Tied 6-6 at the half, the Warrior defense (a.k.a. "Hard Work") stopped the Jaguar offense twice inside the Warriors five-yard line to keep the game tied. However, the Jaguars offense would prove too much for "Hard Work" and score two more times on them. Once coming late in the game, thanks to the Jaguars recovering a fumble deep in Warrior territory. The Warriors would lose 6-18 vs the second place 3-0 Jaguars and drop to 1-2 on the season.
The Warriors face the Louisville Patriots next week at Thomas Jefferson Middle School at 1:00pm. The Patriots Junior team has yet to record a win for the 2015 season and sits at the bottom of the standings. Only the LSA Lions are below the Patriots at 0-3, having 73 points scored against them and only finding the end-zone once in three games.
