KCD Girls Lacrosse - 2016 KSLL State Champions

Kentucky Country Day Girls Lacrosse won the 2016 KSLL State Championship this week by the astonishing score of 16-1 over Louisville Collegiate School.

Collegiate was the underdog by far, but nobody saw the massive beatdown coming from the KCD Bearcats.

Collegiate was in the championship game thanks to upsetting Sacred Heart Academy in a come from behind victory in the semi-finals, after forcing them into overtime with less than two seconds to play.  Collegiate was able to strike early against the Bearcats, bringing the score to 3-1 over half way through the first half, but it was all KCD Bearcats from there...

The Kentucky Country Day Lady Bearcats kept pounding and pounding away at the Collegiate Amazons.  Even with younger players and the backup goalie in, the Amazons were barely even able to move the ball into Bearcat territory.  Disappointment and pure frustration was clearly visible from Louisville Collegiate's fans, coaches, and players.

The final scoreboard read 16-1 after the fifty-minute thrashing of the Louisville Collegiate Amazons, and KCD claimed its second State Title in the past two years.
