The Bruins took the lead in the 3rd by the score of 1-0 thanks to a Butler throwing error. However, the Bears answered back in the 4th as Hood crossed the plate and the throw to the plate was off target.
Butler took the lead in the top of the 7th on RBI singles. However, just like how Butler answered the Bruins early in the game, the Bruins answered back, bringing the score to 3-3 at the end of the 7th and taking the game into extra innings.
The Butler Bears came away with nothing in the 8th, and the Ballard Bruins capitalized! Ballard hit a walk-off double to beat Butler by the score of 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th inning.
